Biography by Sandip Virji
My name is Sandip Virji and I currently live in Harrow, London.
What can I say about Sobhag, I have known him since the last 30 years. Apart from a working relationship, we have a good social bond. After passing my ACCA exams, I started my accountancy career by joining his business – St Georges – as a Management Accountant, around Sept 1991. He created this position and I gained invaluable experience under his guidance, although not being an accountant himself. I learnt business etiquette and being meticulous. We visited the care homes regularly.
The office moved from North Harrow to Edgware in 1994, and his vision was to start a restaurant on the ground floor, a private social Thursday Club for the middle floor and our office on the top floor. This went quite well, except the restaurant business did not last long.
I left in 1996 to pursue my career in public practice. Since then our relationship continued on the social front and we never lost touch. He always invited me to his events – not forgetting his 60th birthday party. His nature is always being friendly and helpful, even though I wasn’t working for him.
After a few years he asked me to produce monthly management information for his business, knowing how well I was acquainted to the St Georges ethos and the whole team. All in all, our relationship has evolved over time and will carry on for the foreseeable future both on a professional and personal basis.

I understand Sobhag’s representatives are planning to prepare his Biography on a website and this letter would be part of it including a photograph supplied by me.
