Harkhubhai
In 1958, Harkhubhai’s (28) family (Sobhag’s cousin), (father’s sister’s son), moved from Nairobi to Meru, to join in Father’s business. On 11.01.1965, at the age of 35, Harkhubhai passed away suffering from Cancer. From Nairobi, he was taken to London for his treatment. It was very rare that the patients were sent to London for treatment during those days.
Sobhag was touring in India with the other fellows from his boarding when he received the sad news of his cousin’s death. Jayantibenevi came to meet him with the news at the railway station in Indore, India.
In 1967, Sobhag’s father received a Quit Notice about the shop, Harkhubhai’s family had to move to Mombasa, as there was no one to earn at that time and cost of living was much less in Mombasa compared with elsewhere.
