Oxford Law School Cost
In 2023, Oxford offers one of the most generous scholarship programmes of any UK university for home students with a family income of around £42,875 or less, with additional opportunities for UK students from households with an income of £27,500 or less. The UK government also provides cost-of-living assistance for UK home students and those with sedentary status who meet residency requirements. Some of the costs associated with operating overseas may be subject to change after the UK leaves the EU. Both schools offer a wide range of programs led by renowned and highly competent faculty members. Although both have a low student-faculty ratio, Harvard`s 9:1 courses are slightly more intimate than Oxford`s 11:1 ratio. The cost of living in Oxford may be lower than expected, as our world-class resources and academic offerings can help keep costs down. On the other hand, Harvard University requires a high school transcript, a semester report (submitted after completing the first semester grades), and a final report (which admitted students must send after completing the second semester of their final year). Oxford students from the UK can get a tuition fee loan from the UK government without paying any upfront fees. However, international students are not eligible for this assistance. About 40% of Oxford students still come from private schools, while only 7% of British children attend such schools. Harvard is the more expensive of the two schools, for both domestic and international students. Harvard`s tuition for 2021-2022 is $55,587, which does not include other fees and housing costs. Course fees paid by enrolled students* apply to the provision of tuition, supervision, academic services and facilities by the University (including your department or faculty) and colleges, but do not include accommodation or other living expenses. Tuition for Oxford students this year is just £9,000, which equates to around $11,700. That`s about a quarter of the cost of other top-notch schools like Harvard, Stanford, and the California Institute of Technology. UK students will still be able to access government funding for the cost of living, and those from low-income means-tested households will continue to be eligible for generous Oxford scholarships.
Travel grants and financial aid for those who do not have sufficient funds may also be available through your college and university. Both schools have registered countless world-renowned leaders, inventors and personalities. The two schools consist of a very different group of students. 84.4% of Harvard`s youngest cohort are U.S. citizens. Students should expect to pay each day for lunch, breakfast, and dinner on Fridays and weekends, as well as other costs for food, beverages, utilities (laundry, school supplies, etc.) and entertainment. Students are responsible for their own trips to and from Oxford, as well as sightseeing or weekend getaways.
