Our Government and Regulatory Affairs group develops effective strategies to navigate complex legislative and regulatory processes at the federal and state levels. The Agency coordinates the acceptance of substitute service for all foreign licensed insurers, certain banking institutions and non-resident licensees of the Department, and coordinates the processing of subpoenas and other legal acts served on the Department. #22-122: Deputy Attorney General 4 (7 vacancies – Ministry of Children and Family Practice Group – Department of Children and Families Essex Branch OR Department of Children and Families Northern Section – Newark, NJ) The Northern and Essex Chapters of the Ministry of Children and Families represent the Ministry of Children and Family Affairs (DCF) and the Child Protection and Permanency Division (DCP & P), The agency within the department responsible for protecting children and strengthening families. The assistants of this section represent DCP&P when it requests supervision or custody of children, forfeiture of parental rights or legal guardianship. The work is process-intensive, but also has an important advisory component. The section represents cases from Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties. All items must be submitted together in one package. The call for tenders remains open until the vacancy is filled. Legal and regulatory compliance also coordinates the processing of subpoenas and other legal documents served on NJDOH. Subpoenas to NJDOH employees seeking documents and general notices relating to bankruptcy or tort claims should be sent to the Bureau at the address provided here. The Office also provides legal liaison with the Legal Department (of the Department of Law and Public Security) and the Office of Administrative Law on rule-making, requests for judicial hearings and final decisions in contentious cases.
