Are you unfazed working on a 16-hour day? Big! With us, you have to do everything with little time, a lot of pressure and a positive attitude. If it`s you, please: The deal makes Kroll the international leader in all facets of the Minneapolis litigation – 18. September 2007 – Kroll, the global risk advisory firm, today announced the acquisition of TrialGraphix ®, which will operate as part of the legal technology business of Kroll Ontrack ®, the industry`s largest provider of electronic and paper discovery, computer forensics and data recovery services. The acquisition expands Kroll`s litigation services offering to include process graphics, courtroom presentation technologies and jury deliberation. Ultimately, this allows law firms and businesses to hire an expert for their litigation advice and technology needs, from litigation preparation to discovery and litigation. This combination eliminates the need to select multiple experts or transfer evidence between service providers throughout the litigation period, advancing Kroll`s goal of providing comprehensive services to the litigation community. Documents that were retained and collected prior to litigation can now be filtered, processed, reviewed and created for discovery, and then transparently presented to the court. “By adding TrialGraphix to the Kroll family, we can serve our legal clients as a stronger, more valuable partner by offering them a more comprehensive offering – from investigation to litigation,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of Kroll. “TrialGraphix`s strength in evaluation, graphics and presentation technology consulting will be an invaluable addition to our existing capabilities.
We will now be able to offer solutions that meet all of our clients` increasingly complex consulting and technology needs,” said Kristin Nimsger, President of Kroll Ontrack. “TrialGraphix`s best-in-class services, combined with Kroll Ontrack`s discovery, computer forensics, ESI consulting and industry-leading software services, position Kroll Ontrack as a leading litigation technology company and Kroll as a leading provider of law firm services from claim notice to litigation.” “The combination of these two companies allows us to surpass what we have accomplished individually and will significantly transform our industry,” said Steve Stolberg, CEO of TrialGraphix. “This provides us with another opportunity to pursue our common goal of becoming the best end-to-end service provider in the previously fragmented process services market.” Kroll acquired TrialGraphix from a holding company controlled by Frontenac Company (private equity firm) and employees of TrialGraphix. The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, with offices in eight major legal markets, TrialGraphix will be part of Kroll Ontrack`s Legal Technologies business.
