Joint Base Andrews Legal Services

Originally called Camp Springs Army Airfield, Andrews Joint Base is best known for its special air mission – transporting high-ranking government and military leaders. JB Andrews has a total population of approximately 14,000 people, of which over 12,000 are active members. Joint Base Andrews covers approximately 6,850 acres and is located in parts of Prince George`s County, Maryland, about 10 miles outside the city limits of Washington, D.C. and 15 miles from the state of Virginia. The base is physically located in the town of Camp Springs MD. Special Counsel for Victims (SVC) represents victims throughout the investigation and prosecution process in a confidential solicitor-client relationship. The chain of command for CVS is through the Air Force Legal Operations Agency, which allows CVS to provide independent legal representation and advocacy on behalf of the victim of sexual assault without the risk of interference from the victim`s or perpetrator`s chain of command.
