George Mason University Entrance Requirements
In the United States, the majority of universities incentivize students by helping them obtain college loans by taking certain courses in high school. Dual enrollment (also known as double credit), AP credit, and CLEP credit (Life Experience Credit) are some of the most popular programs available to students. However, policies regarding these loans vary from university to university. These programs have several advantages, such as a higher GPA, increased chances of graduating, and a shorter time to complete. Students can easily apply for AP and CLEP credits by attending collegeboard.org and submitting the results to the university of their choice. If the Dean of Admissions becomes aware of any relevant changes to a student`s file, either directly from the student or from a third party, he or she will refer the matter to the appropriate committee for review. The student has the opportunity to submit a written statement to the Dean of Admissions for review by the committee. The committee makes a recommendation to the Dean of Admissions as to whether the offer of admission should be cancelled or whether any additional restrictions or requirements should be imposed on the student. In case of withdrawal of admission to a registered student loan purchased from Mason, it may be withheld. The college will review your academic profile to ensure you are qualified.
For candidates who do not meet the academic requirements, the chances of acceptance decrease significantly, regardless of their strength elsewhere. Some majors have higher admission requirements. Mason reserves the right to withdraw offers of admission if applicants (1) fail to successfully complete their current academic program, (2) maintain grades that meet George Mason`s admission requirements, and (3) demonstrate exemplary personal conduct prior to enrollment. In addition, Mason may revoke an offer of approval due to the cancellation or modification of a test result required for approval, or if it is determined that approval was obtained through the use of incomplete, falsified, altered or embellished information. Mason also reserves the right to impose restrictions or requirements on a student`s admission due to the foregoing (e.g., residential or educational restrictions, or additional conditions or requirements prior to enrollment). Admitted students are required to inform the admissions office in a timely manner of any new information that may affect their admission, including, but not limited to, changes in their participation in their program or current academic grades, or behavioral problems (e.g., criminal matters and academic discipline issues). Note: For some courses, there may be additional requirements such as entrance audition or portfolio submission. When making admissions decisions, George Mason University also takes into account applicants` SAT scores. Among other things, applicants should be aware that SAT scores are mandatory to be considered for university admission. The average SAT score for candidates accepted into the GMU is 1215. However, in some cases, applicants with SAT scores of 1110 or lower may also be accepted. Up to 72% of university applicants submit their SAT results to the admission test.
